Mandatory registration of dogs with local government. Dog licenses help identify owned dogs and ensure they are properly vaccinated against rabies.
Who Can Apply?
All dog owners in the Philippines (required by law under RA 9482 - Anti-Rabies Act)
Requirements
• Proof of anti-rabies vaccination (certificate from licensed veterinarian)
• Barangay Clearance or Proof of Residency
• Valid ID of owner
• Passport-sized photo of the dog (some LGUs)
• Registration fee (varies per LGU, usually ₱50-200 per dog)
How to Apply
Visit your City/Municipal Veterinary Office or designated licensing center. Bring required documents. License is usually valid for 1 year.
