Under Republic Act No. 9482 (Anti-Rabies Act), all dog owners are required to have their dogs vaccinated against rabies and registered with the local government. Most LGUs provide free anti-rabies vaccination programs.

Free rescue services for stray, injured, or abused animals in Manila. Also handles animal bite cases and provides free anti-rabies vaccination.
PAWS Rescue and Rehabilitation Program
Rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals. Accepts reports of animal cruelty and provides shelter for rescued animals.
